About Me

The things that matter most to me are my family, finding beauty in the subtle details of everything around me, and bringing people closer to Christ through art.

From a young age, I’ve been captivated by the interplay of light and color. As a teenager, I would spend countless hours sketching women in elaborate Victorian dresses, fascinated by the intricacies of their attire.

While my passion for art was undeniable, I chose to major in elementary and early childhood education, believing it to be a more practical path. However, my love for art persisted, leading me to teach set classes for youth in 1999. I also served as an art specialist and director of the art literacy program for local elementary schools. It was during this time that I realized the transformative power of art in education.

In 2019, as my children began attending school full-time, I made the life-changing decision to become a full-time apprentice to Jeff Hein. Under Jeff’s guidance, my artistic skills have undergone significant refinement. I’ve delved deeper into traditional art practices and broadened my perspective on the profound impact that art can have on people’s lives.

I have a particular passion for plein air painting, relishing the opportunity to capture the beauty of the outdoors. This love for the natural world has earned me multiple awards for landscape painting, further fueling my artistic journey.

My ultimate goal is to master the art of creating figurative works that tell the powerful stories of the women of the scriptures, enriching the spiritual lives of those who view them. Through my art, I aspire to bring people closer to Christ, illuminating the profound connections between faith and creativity.
